This is education, not advice
The information on this website is written for the general reader and does not replace a personal medical consultation. It cannot tell you how much of your waist is frame, how much can safely be removed, or whether this operation is the right answer for the shape that bothers you.
Outcomes vary and none is guaranteed
No treatment can be guaranteed. The final contour depends on how tissue behaves at the edge of treatment, on how the skin settles and on where your weight goes from here, and it is judged over six to twelve months rather than in the first weeks. That is a property of healing rather than a failure of technique.
Scars are permanent
Every operation leaves a scar. The access points used for fat removal are small and are usually placed where clothing covers them, and they mature over a year or more and then remain. No surgeon can promise that a scar will be invisible.
This is not weight loss
Fat removal is a contouring operation. It is not a treatment for obesity, it does not replace weight management, and it does not remove fat stored inside the abdomen. The fat that remains after it still responds to weight change.
